The simPAL-3D robotic and mini cobot palletisers can be seen front and centre at the Australis Engineering stand at AUSPACK.

With 52 square metres of floor space located close to the main entrance, the stand can easily be spotted, with the technology’s modular and flexible attributes providing exciting eye candy for visitors to view and experience up close.

Peter Gustafson, MD at Australis Engineering says it is a “fantastic” experience to be exhibiting at the show after a three-year hiatus with Covid.

“We are confident about the state of the Australian manufacturing industry and what we're offering, and we are particularly proud to be displaying our Mech-Mind 3D Vision systems with artificial intelligence here at the show.

The simPAL-3D robotic and Mini cobot palletisers can be seen in action on the Australis stand demonstrate the machinery’s modular capabilities for palletising, as well as picking and placing.

The system is available in 10 different modules, has easy to use touchscreen software (featuring an Automatic Pallet Generator), IIOT connection and multiple standard grippers.

A highlight of the stand was the simPAL Mini, which features a collaborative Techman cobot, that can be programmed with its own on-board TM-Flow software to pick and place, and occupies minimal floor space. As was demonstrated, its integrated vision system with SMP camera easily identifies bar codes and QR codes for product recognition

Gustafson says this will be the fifth consecutive AUSPACK and sixth overall where Australis has exhibited its materials handling equipment.

“It's brilliant to be able to get in front of so many people again after such a long time. AUSPACK is the first major trade show for our industry, and we’ve already had some fantastic leads and we can't wait to see how the rest of the week unfolds.”

Australis Engineering is the Australian partner for Mech-Mind 3D Vision and Artificial Intelligence systems, and is also an ABB Robotics integrator partner and integrator and Australian distributor for Techman Robots collaborative robot.
