The first-ever live podcast from AUSPACK has been running all day, with a stream of packaging people sharing their news from the show on the AUSPACK Files, which is being hosted on the PKN Packaging News stand.

The podcast is a media first for the packaging industry, and is coming live from Stand B120. Exhibitors and visitors are joining the conversation, with guests so far talking on a range of crucial topics for the industry, including one of the major themes of this AUSPACK – the colossal strides being taken in sustainable packaging.

Lindy Hughson said, "It is so exciting to be able to give a platform to people at AUSPACK, who are able to share the issues that are close to their hearts. The reaction to the podcast opportunity shows that packaging people have a great story to tell. This exhibition is providing clear evidence of how far packaging has travelled, and the podcasts will enable everyone to share in that journey.”

Guests have included Jim Wallace from Balluff, Jessica Ansell from O F Packaging, William Lebihan and Rodney Ryan from SMC, Romano Bolzon from Detpack, Roxy Walker from Klockner Pentaplast, Andrew Steele from GS1, Mark Nicholls from HMPS, Chris Littlewood from Combilift, Craig Gilbert from Process Partners, James Boubouka from Rose & Krieger, Dr Morgan Wyatt from Greenlid, AUSPACK conference director Louisa Thomas, and sustainable packaging and process technologist Ralph Moyle. Opening the AUSPACK Files was Mark Dingley, chairman of the Australian Packaging and Processing Machinery Association (APPMA).

The PKN Podcast's studio manager Grant McHerron is stationed on Stand B120, where he is hosting the live conversations with exhibitors and visitors.

Co-hosting most of the podcast sessions are PKN managing editor & publisher Lindy Hughson; PKN editor, Colleen Bate; Print21 editor and PKN associate editor Wayne Robinson, and Food & Drink Business editor Kim Berry.

The PKN Podcast AUSPACK Files are being streamed on all podcast platforms during and after the show, and can be accessed from here.

If you would like to be part of the conversation, reach out to editor@packagingnews.com.au, drop by the stand B120 at AUSPACK, or tee up a definite time for a recording session by contacting PKN's Sharon Amos on sharonamos@yaffa.com.au
