Australian packaging supplier Perfect Automation's Perfectseal Revolution tray sealing machine has been installed at the site of UK-based potato processor Branston.

The installation has improved efficiencies and reduced costs of Branston's potato tray sealing line.

Branston supplies fresh potatoes, seed potatoes, processing potatoes, and ready prepared potatoes.

The Perfectseal package includes a machine, packaging and service support for one monthly payment, taking away the headache of sourcing materials and machinery from different suppliers.

A full range of trays is offered, including cost-effective biodegradable trays.

Using Powerdrive fully electric technology, the Revolution is a fast, energy efficient, single lane tray sealing machine, according to the company.

The machine has speeds of up to 200 packs per minute, and Revolution technology gives a smooth profile of punnet transfer into the machine.

All the Revolution machines are fully electric and operate without the need for compressed air.

Branston GM Richard Heppleston said efficiencies were already increased, and the cost per unit was lower.

The Perfectseal package is provided by Sydney's Perfect Automation.

Perfect Automation offers pre-sale and aftermarket technical service for Perfectseal in Australia, with a team of machinery and packaging experts on hand to provide advice and support.
