One of the company’s making major strides in the realm of flexibles, O F Packaging, will be exhibiting at this year’s AUSPACK to showcase its latest innovative packaging products.
The Australian-owned and operated business, which can be found at stand C170, provides premium flexible, carton and sustainable packaging solutions.
The multiple award-winning O F Packaging prides itself on helping out its clients through the entire process of selecting their custom packaging solution – from features and design, to initial product development and testing, through to actual production and delivery of orders.
The company also stands among the leading Australian packaging companies that offer sustainable alternatives for packaging supplies.
“The way we source, produce and consume food products have changed significantly over the past few decades, along with consumer expectations,” said Joe Foster, managing director of O F Packaging.
“Due to current mixtures of different plastics within the soft plastic packaging space, options for reuse are limited to secondary products such as plastic furniture, decking, park equipment, and even use in asphalt.
“We’re still working on getting post-consumer mixed plastic pellets to create a similar film, and are confident that soon we’ll have a positive result.”
The company recently merged with Close the Loop to form Close the Loop Group (CLG), and listed on the ASX following the completion of an over-subscribed $12 million capital raising, with strong support from institutional and cornerstone investors.
Together, the two entities will provide end-to-end circular solutions for reducing waste to landfill, and getting recycled content back into new products through processing and recovery operations in Australia, North America, Europe, Vietnam, China and South Africa.
“Our award-winning packaging products and regenerative uses for plastics help companies stay ahead of evolving recycling guidelines and regulations,” added Foster, who also heads CLG as its CEO.
“With only two per cent of plastic packaging globally currently being recycled, customers need more effective and efficient recovery and take back or reuse of valuable product resources to increase their sustainability footprint.
“Coupled with the strong regulatory changes stipulated by governments around the world, we are excited about CLG’s prospects and our ability to benefit from these key long-term global trends.”
