Nord Drivesystems is exhibiting its range of drive technologies on stand G075 at its first AUSPACK this year.

On display is the company’s energy-efficient IE4 motor, as well as its nsd TupH solution for electrochemically treating aluminium components, altering their surface properties to make them corrosion-free. Martin Broglia, managing director, says this makes drives more durable and environmentally friendly.

“No coating is applied but the surface itself converted and the stainless-steel like surface is unaffected by blows and scratches. What’s more, it’s up to a thousand times harder than paint,” said Broglia.

Nord is also showcasing its myNord online product configurator for the first time at the expo.

The company supplies geared motors from the 0.12 to 200-kilowatt range through to the industrial gears (IG) units, which come in sizes up to 4000 kilowatts.

“Nord drives are found in just about every industry, so in terms of packaging you will find our products in anything from food and beverage, to pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, personal care and even bulk material handling,” said Broglia.
