Mecmesin, through its Australian distributor SI Instruments, will launch a new generation of universal testers at AUSPACK 2017.

The MultiTest-dV has a positional resolution of 0.001mm, offering control for a wide range of systems.

Its control panel comprises four multifunctional operating buttons, a clear, bright-colour display, and a precision control wheel.

The wheel enables ultra-fine crosshead control and rapid crosshead repositioning while doubling up for changing machine settings of speed, set positions, test type, and parameters.

The wheel is surrounded by coloured LED lights that indicate the test stand status at all times.

Users can select one of four test modes, and dial in speed and displacement in either or both directions, plus test cycling requirements, and connect a Mecmesin Advanced Force Gauge (AFG) for load limit control.

The MultiTest-dV is is suitable for a wide range of routine testing such as:

  • Compressive bend
  • Tensile testing
  • Top-load
  • Insertion/withdrawal
  • Peel/adhesion
  • Pull-off
  • Puncture
