Industrial cable and connection specialist Lapp will exhibit for the first time at AUSPACK 2019 on stand G130, following the establishment of its Australian subsidiary last year.

Lapp opened its 3100-square-metre facility at Eastern Creek, NSW, in February 2018, and Australian general manager Simon Pullinger says AUSPACK is the next step in reaching out to local customers.

“Lapp products have been respected in the Australian market for more than 30 years, through its distribution network here as part of a strong network of 100 agencies around the world,” says Pullinger. “Setting up an Australian subsidiary has bridged the huge geographical distances of bringing the latest innovations from Germany to Australian customers faster than ever before.”

Lapp product families to be showcased at AUSPACK include Olflex connecting and control cables; Skintop cable glands, as used widely in the food and beverage industry; and Etherline industrial ethernet cables. According to Lapp, the company sells more than 40,000 products, including Olflex flexible drag chain cables used in applications that are constantly moving and require maximum flexibility and reliability, such as automated manufacturing.

Wine Victoria has released the 2025 Victorian Wine Industry Economic Scorecard, which shows the state’s wine industry delivered a record $10.8 billion economic contribution in 2025, up 14 per cent year-on-year.

Australia’s agricultural sector has received a major boost in its ability to measure and communicate environmental performance, with the release of an expanded national Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) dataset covering more than 1500 farm-gate products.

Elders Limited has entered into an agreement with meat processing company, Australian Meat Group (AMG), to divest its Killara Feedlot business, for total consideration of approximately $195.8 million.
