Packaging line automation company AutoCoding Systems will be demonstrating its code assurance and packaging verification solution at AUSPACK 2017.
Visitors will be shown how to avoid the risk of product recalls due to mislabelling or incorrect coding.
The AutoCoding system sets up and controls packaging line devices, including coding and labelling equipment, barcode scanners, checkweighing, and metal detection equipment, irrespective of brand.
Incorrectly coded, labelled, or packaged goods can result serious health risks, severe financial losses, and product and packaging waste, according to the company.
This coding and packaging verification solution ensures the right code will be printed on the right packaging every time.
The application comprises a database held on a server, a user interface, such as a packaging line terminal or PC, and barcode scanners for packaging verification.
Data relating to products, customers, and packaging line devices are stored in a central database.
Continuous in-line scanning of the packaging using 1D and 2D barcode scanners verify that the packaging is not only correct for the product, but that the right artwork is being used, where applicable.
Visitors to the stand will be able to see demonstrations of the software which has been sold in the UK since 2005, and is installed on over 750 packaging lines.
AutoCoding Systems has now expanded into Australia, with an office in Melbourne. It can be found at stand 450 at Auspack.
