With the knock-on effect of the Covid pandemic subjecting local manufacturers to ongoing production and supply chain challenges, many have been turning towards more automation as the solution. To those companies, AUSPACK has you covered.
The globally recognised, long-running biennial event, held on 17-20 May at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, is a great opportunity for interested parties to see the latest in automation and robotic solutions for the packaging and processing sectors.
With the uptick in demand for collaborative automation in the region, AUSPACK will again be putting a spotlight on the latest innovations in this space, in a bid to help manufacturers solve the challenges they face during these uncertain times.
Exhibitors at this year’s event that specialise in automation, such as ABB Robotics (stand G085), see AUSPACK as the ideal forum for the industry to build meaningful relationships and launch their new products to the packaging and processing sectors.
ABB is a pioneer in robotics, machine automation and digital services, providing innovative solutions for a diverse range of industries, including packaging and processing.

“As Australia’s pre-eminent packaging and processing exhibition, AUSPACK is the perfect forum for ABB to launch its two new families of collaborative robots (cobots), and we will be displaying our market-leading range of industrial robots,” said Peter Bradbury, channel manager – robotics with ABB Australia.
“ABB Robotics have been exhibiting at AUSPACK for over 20 years, and the expected 7000+ visitors will include hundreds of our existing customers and many more potential clients. We anticipate recovering the exhibition costs many times over the following months.”
Another stop to make is at stand C130 where you will find Australis Engineering, a multi-faceted manufacturer and integrator of conveyors, pallet handling systems, robotics, materials handling equipment, and industrial automation.
Australis is highly experienced in system design and integration, as well as delivering turnkey projects, and has demonstrated expertise in industries including raw and packaged foods, beverages, packaging, pharmaceuticals, medtech, health, warehousing, industrial and general manufacturing.

“We have a deep-seated design focus and apply our expertise earned from a range of industries to deliver smart thinking and innovation,” the company said.
“While we are respected for our conveyor and pallet handling capabilities, our customers also trust Australis for its expertise in robotics, industrial automation and materials handling.
“Smart thinking drives this expertise to deliver innovative, integrated and engineered solutions to solve challenges including deploying new products or packaging, establishing new production or warehouse facilities, improving productivity and efficiency, reducing production costs and improving safety.”
Another designer and engineer of robotic and automation solutions for the packaging industry is HMPS, which can be found at stand G140.
The company says its bespoke approach to creating packaging machinery allows its clients to tailor their machines to their specific requirements, enabling them to quickly respond to changing market conditions, and their customer’s needs and expectations.
“We pride ourselves on being Australian designed and engineered, and place great importance on ensuring the innovation of robotics and engineering continues to develop and remain in Australia,” said HMPS.
“We are continuing to grow our services – from end-of-line productions, through to complete lines.”
These are just three examples of exhibitors who'll be displaying their automation and robotics prowess. There'll be much more to see and learn about this rapidly advancing field of technology at AUSPACK 2022.
Tickets to the exhibition are free and are now available on the website, and entry to the Solutions Theatre is also free via the registration pass.
