A&D Weighing and Inspection has brought its award-winning new Protex X-ray inspection system to stand A150 at AUSPACK 2019.

The Protex system won the 2018 Automation Inside Reader’s Choice Award for Best Identification Technology, which were introduced to acknowledge major innovations and superior products that use automation technology. Automation Inside offers a variety of publications and information on companies whose products help manufacturers improve efficiency, quality assurance, and process control via automated devices, says A&D.

According to the manufacturer, the Protex series uses advanced algorithms in a compact design to provide detection for contaminants such as metals and bone fragments, glass, clumps, missing or damaged product, and broken seals. Features include compact design for easy integration; large and easy-to-read display; and advanced algorithms to test for more than just contaminants, the company says.

A&D supplies electronic weighing scales, balances, metal detectors, checkweighers and weighing systems. Its scales can be found at Australia Post outlets around the country, the company says, as well as many Australian factories, warehouses and laboratories.
