The Australasian Institute of Packaging (AIP) will lead an expert walking tour of foodpro on 29 July, giving attendees the opportunity to visit AIP member stands and discuss packaging trends and innovations on display across the exhibition.
Open to AIP members, industry colleagues and the broader industry, the tour will also include the Australasian Packaging Innovation & Design (PIDA) showcase, where the winners of the 2026 awards will be announced.
The AIP has also invited students undertaking the Diploma in Packaging Technology, Certificate in Packaging, Fundamentals of Packaging Technology course and the Master of Food & Packaging Innovation degree to attend. The invitation extends to partner universities including Monash University, the University of Melbourne, UNSW and RMIT.
The walking tour forms part of the AIP's broader program at foodpro, where it will also run two training courses, host four panel discussions and present a showcase display of finalists from the 2026 PIDA awards.
The event will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre in South Wharf.
foodpro is divided into six zones: Food Science & Technology, Ingredients & Additives, Processing Equipment, Packaging Solutions, Beverage Equipment, and Intelligent & Digital Factories.
