Recyclability and recycled content were central to the winning entry in the 2026 Health, Beauty & Wellness Packaging Design category, with Impact International recognised for its mono-material HDPE tube and cap range.

Manufactured in Australia, the design replaces the conventional combination of polyethylene tubes and polypropylene caps with a mono-material HDPE solution that enables the entire pack to enter the HDPE recycling stream at end of life. The tube also incorporates Australian-made post-consumer recycled HDPE in the non-contact layer, allowing between 30 and 50 per cent recycled content depending on pack size.

By simplifying material composition while increasing recycled content, the development addresses two of the industry's key packaging challenges in a single solution.

ProAmpac New Zealand received silver for its Libra Range Outer Packaging with 50 per cent PCR LDPE, while bronze went to Esmi Cleanser Butter Balm.

The category recognises innovation across cosmetics, personal care, health products, supplements and medical packaging. All winners are eligible for entry into the 2027 WorldStar Packaging Awards.
