Creative branding and packaging design consultancy Rooland worked to refresh the label of dairy products sourced in Kiama NSW.

The Pines Kiama is a sixth-generation dairy caring for a small herd of Holstein cows.

The farm is biodynamic and sustainable, and the cows produce creamy milk, gelato, and natural yoghurt.

Rooland worked to enhance The Pines' logo design visibility and appeal through a new label.

Another objective was to build trust with the community through a softer, more authentic, and personable approach.

The label was designed to increase brand awareness in the Illawarra and Sydney areas, and build its Australia-wide reputation online.

The Pines' product line will soon include fresh cheeses.

Food and beverage manufacturers are facing a warehouse space crisis, and most of them did not see it coming. Production expanded, storage followed and over time, an organised operation became a fragmented footprint of disconnected warehouses, rising third-party costs, and a site nobody would have designed on purpose. Swisslog ANZ director of sales, Steve Dimitrovski, examines why the space problem is structural and how automation is helping manufacturers solve it without building a new site.

NSW Food and Beverage manufacturers are invited to join an upcoming information session at the Advanced Manufacturing Readiness Facility (AMRF) to learn about funding and support available to help businesses innovate, grow and improve competitiveness.
