Coca-Cola has unveiled a new global visual identity system that will be introduced across more than 200 markets, with updated packaging and brand assets designed to deliver a more consistent consumer experience worldwide.

The refreshed identity was launched on 20 July and is now rolling out across Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. The company has not announced a timeline for implementation in Australia.

The new system reinforces Coca-Cola's established brand assets, with greater emphasis on the brand's signature red and white colour palette, the Dynamic Ribbon, Arden Square, and Spencerian script across packaging, retail environments, equipment and digital platforms.

Arnab Roy, president, Coca-Cola Global Category, said the refresh was intended to strengthen consistency while building on the brand's existing recognition.

"Coca-Cola is one of the most recognised brands in the world, and with that comes a responsibility to keep evolving," Roy said.

"This refresh is about being clearer and more consistent in how we show up, wherever people experience our brand. By building on the things people already know and love, we're creating a stronger foundation for growth while staying unmistakably Coca-Cola."

The company is also updating the visual identity of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar. The redesign introduces larger 'Zero Sugar' typography, a more prominent black Dynamic Ribbon on cans, and black bottle caps on PET bottles to further differentiate the variant while maintaining closer alignment with the master brand.

Rapha Abreu, global vice president of design at The Coca-Cola Company, said the unified system would help deliver a more recognisable brand experience across global markets.

"For over a century, Coca-Cola has been a global symbol of optimism and authenticity. Now, with one seamless visual identity, we can deliver one recognisable brand experience to consumers."

To support the rollout, Coca-Cola has also introduced a new Brand Center and a suite of Design Intelligence tools for its internal design and marketing teams and agency partners. According to the company, the platform is intended to improve governance, design quality and brand consistency across global markets.
