The print industry’s women in South Australia and Western Australia took the opportunity to make new connections and enjoy extended conversations with their peers, at intimate Women in Print ‘Print & Prosecco’ events last week.

The Adelaide event, sponsored by Access Print Holdings and Retail Ink, took place at The Archer Hotel, while Perth’s gathering was held at the Sassy Cocktail Bar. Both venues offered a selection of food and drinks, with prosecco being a highlight.

Diana Nikolic, Women in Print SA Patron from Ball & Dogget, reflected on the Adelaide event, saying, "We started with a fun ‘break the ice’ bingo game to get everyone mingling and making connections with women outside their groups. It was great to see everyone coming together to chat and have a few laughs over some great food and bubbles."

In Perth, Kimberly Skinner, Women in Print WA Patron from Total Digital Solutions, emphasised the value of intimate industry events. “We had some ice breaker questions which prompted us to go a bit deeper than the usual, ‘how is business’ conversations,” Skinner said. “I’m looking forward to building on this event and creating a vibrant Women in Print community in Perth.”

The most recent Women in Print event was held in Sydney on 13 November at the Boulevard Brasserie, Novotel, Sydney Olympic Park.

The Print & Prosecco events are supported by volunteer committees, alongside companies such as Cactus Imaging, Media Super, Ricoh Australia, and other sponsors including Ball & Doggett and FramptonPR. Media and association supporters include ASGA, Image Publications, Print21, Visual Connections, Visual Media Association, and Wide Format Online.
