The new Screen Truepress Jet L350 UV Inkjet digital label press will be a key attraction at Jet Technologies' stand (#1230) where it's co-exhibiting with Screen to showcase the benefits of digital inkjet printing for diversified, short run, short turnaround output.

The press will be running live on the stand, to demonstrate, among other things, the high image quality and simple operation of the press.

Preprocessing savings are also a significant benefit: Printing digitally means no plates, and also reduces the output of waste sheets caused by registration and colour adjustment during printing. Further savings are achieved on inks. The LV350UV uses Screen's proprietary Truepress inks, which the company says “reduces ink usage to a minimum to achieve top quality finishing”.

Costs associated with increasing sheet counts are also minimised.

In summary, there are six key benefits of the Truepress Jet L350 UV:

1.     Optimised for diversified short run output, enabling printing of the required number of sheets, at the required time and quality.

2.     High speed printing of up to 50 metres per minute (for a resolution of 600x600 dpi), enabling throughput of 16.1 square metres per minute for 350mm-wide paper.

3.     Reproduction of wide CMYK colour gamut, with Truepress inks providing coverage of a much wider gamut than previous process colour inks, enabling a natural finish and higher level of quality even for label designs with subtle colour differences.

4.     Smooth output of gradations. The adoption of grayscale printheads allows droplets to be printed in four steps. This provides smooth reproduction on half-tone images, from highlights to shadows with minimal graininess.

5.     Straightforward operation and maintenance: all output-related processing can be performed from the front touch panel, ensuring any operator can achieve excellent print quality. Daily cleaning of printheads can also be performed at a touch of a button.

6.     Easy on the environment: With digital printing, paper and other material resources are not required for plate creation or colour adjustment, and the use of Truepress inks means low ink volumes are required to achieve a high quality finish.

Jet Technologies is the first company to install the new Screen Truepress L350UV digital printer in Australia and has exclusivity as the distributor.
