Multiple installations of Screen’s Label Truepress 350 SAI series are highlighting the growing confidence in high-volume digital label production, with printers across Europe continuing to invest in the technology for its productivity, colour quality, reliability and flexibility.
The latest installation of a Label 350 SAI-S at Belgian printer Digi-Paq, which is the company’s seventh purchase, with the original two earlier models sold off to now run a fleet of five SAI and low-migration ink models.
Christophe Parrein, co-CEO at Digi-Paq, is unequivocal about why his company has been so successful.
“Our growth has been immense, and that’s thanks to our technology. To find new clients and support our current ones with the best solutions, we are always looking to adopt the latest label printing technology,” he explained.
“Each time we did our market research, we reached the same conclusion. We’ve continued to invest in Screen digital printing because they after every assessment they still had the best solution for our business backed by a level service and support we came to trust.”
Digi-Paq is not alone, as Spanish label manufacturer Rever also invested in its fourth Screen Truepress Label inkjet press recently to expand its printing capacity further.
The latest Label 350UV SAI-S press marks the fourth Screen machine at Rever and the fifth within the parent Docuworld Group. Most of these run with extra Orange and Blue inks and high-opacity white, to add to the already wide CMYK gamut for stunning, vivid labels.
A leading printer in Poland, Reprograf Grafikus has also recently joined the ‘multiple 350 club’ by installing a fourth Screen label machine.
According to Peter Scott, managing director of Screen Australia, the success of the Label 350 SAI series has been amazing.
“The reasons for these multiple installs consistently refer to highest uptime in digital label presses, brilliant colours on versatile labelstock, reliable after-sales backup, productivity speed – whole 8-hour shifts can run without stopping – precise registration and ability to print mixed runs without interruption thanks to our EQUIOS workflow and ease of operator training,” he said.
“In Australia and New Zealand, we would be very fortunate to experience a ‘five’ installation, but we do have customers running two Label 350s. We even have a customer in Sydney still running an original L350 from its 2015 launch, alongside a new Label 350 SAI machine.”
Screen’s Label 350 SAI-S can be seen in action at the Loupe (formerly Labelexpo) trade show in Chicago from 15-17 September, and at All In Print, Shanghai China in October.
Sales in ANZ are through Jet Technologies, who will have boots on the ground at the shows.
