Husband-and-wife team Michelle and Graham Rowe, owners of Centaur Packaging, didn’t hesitate when they spotted the versatile ColourStar AQ V in action.

The ColourStar AQ is designed for short-run, on-demand digital colour printing and stands out for its ability to print on a wide variety of porous media, including paper bags, food packaging, mailers, sleeves and even wooden boxes. Featuring HP pigment ink technology, it delivers water-, light- and scratch-resistant prints in vivid CMYK colour at up to 1200dpi resolution. With quick changeovers, ease of use, and low cost-per-print, the system is ideal for SMEs looking to bring packaging print in-house.

Trimatt Systems managing director Matt Johnson said the early sale was a proud moment for the team. “It’s always great when a customer sees the value straight away. The ColourStar AQ V was designed specifically with businesses like Centaur Packaging in mind – those looking to take control of their packaging print and build capability that’s cost-effective, sustainable and future-ready.”

The sale sets the tone for what’s shaping up to be a busy PacPrint for Trimatt, with more live demos planned throughout the show and strong interest already building around its suite of automation and digital print solutions.

For Centaur Packaging, the new addition will soon be up and running in NSW  – bringing colour, speed and flexibility to its expanding range of sustainable packaging products.
