The Visual Media Association (VMA) has released the names of the finalists National Print Awards, with five companies in the running for both the Labels Award and the Packaging Award.

Finalists and their entries in the Packaging category are:

• MCC Adelaide – Libation Front and Back Set

• MCC Adelaide – Annais Organic

• Openbook Howden Print & Design – Bowden Brewing Collab with Illuminate Adelaide

• QLM Labelmakers – Blush & BloomSakes & Marketing

This year’s judging panel praised “the exceptional standard” of entries, highlighting the continued excellence, innovation, and craftsmanship that defines Australia’s print, mail, labels, packaging, publishing and design sectors that make up the collective visual media industry.

VMA CEO, Kellie Northwood, commended the calibre of all entries and expressed her deep personal pride in connecting with the finalists.

“Contacting the finalists over the past few days has genuinely been one of the highlights of my year,” commented Northwood. “To hear their stories, share in their pride, and witness their reactions is wonderful.

“It is these moments that remind me why I love what I do and why the National Print Awards are so important to our industry. Celebrating achievement, recognising excellence, and shining a spotlight on our people – this is what makes our industry great.”

The winners of the awards will be revealed at the Gala Awards Dinner taking place next Thursday evening, 22 May, at Doltone House in Sydney.

The Victorian government has invested $160,000 to support the sustainability and profitability of the state’s wine industry, matched by $240,000 from Wine Australia. The funds will help Wine Victoria to provide the wine industry with the knowledge, tools and resources needed to improve practices and outcomes.

Australian spirits producers had an outstanding showing at the 2025 International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC) in London, with top scoring producers including 30 Knots Spirits, Australian Distilling Co., Ester Distilling, Mt. Uncle Distillery, Nine Circles Distillery, and Turner Stillhouse.

The recent innovation forum hosted by the Australian Marketing Institute and research company, T Garage, examined the reality for the rapidly evolving landscape of consumer goods that innovation is now table stakes. Experts from three of Australia's Top 100 food and drink companies shared their experiences and confirmed innovation is not just a corporate strategy, but a mindset permeating personal and professional life.
