Entries for the National Print Awards 2026 will be closing soon (on 10 April), and event organiser, the Visual Media Association (VMA), is making its final call to the industry to put forward their company's achievements across commercial, digital, packaging, labels, publishing, signage, data-driven communications and creative services.

Set to take place at the InterContinental Brisbane on 4 June 2026, the Awards celebrate the full spectrum of Australian print – from commercial print to packaging, labels to wide format, embellishment to digital innovation – and is designed to reflect the many ways print shows up in the real world.

Categories include book printing, catalogues and magazines, marketing collateral such as leaflets and brochures, signage and display, mail and data-driven communications, embellishment and finishing, packaging and labels, as well as branding, identity and multi-channel campaign.

“We know the incredible work being produced across this country every day. The National Print Awards bring that work into the national spotlight,” Kellie Northwood, CEO of VMA said.

“For 2026, we’ve reshaped the Awards to reflect the modern print landscape. That means more relevant categories, clearer entry pathways, and a program that recognises not just traditional print, but the full ecosystem of visual media.

“We want to see everything – the craft, the creativity, the technical excellence, the problem-solving. If you’re proud of it, you should be entering it.”

Platinum partners HP and Currie Group continue to support the Awards, alongside gold sponsors Fujifilm, Ball & Doggett, Plockmatic Group, Renz, Ricoh Australia, Konica Minolta, Flint Group and Spectra, Spicers, APPIA and CMYKHub, with more still to come.

PKN Packaging News' sister title, Print21, will once again serve as media partner, supporting the visibility of the Awards program, and ensuring the achievements of Australian print businesses are recognised across the industry.

In addition to the Awards program, the 2026 event will include the Ink & Innovation masterclass, supported by conference partner CMYKhub.

The Ink & Innovation event is a true masterclass with globally recognised industry guru Jon Bailey, CEO of Precision Proco, scheduled to share growing margin strategies across sales, technology and AI, and people and culture.
