A B Graphic International (ABG), represented in Australia and New Zealand by Currie Group, has launched a new division, ABG Flex Pack. The move consolidates ABG’s long-standing expertise in lamination and finishing technologies into a dedicated business focused on the growing flexible packaging sector.

ABG has a history in flexible packaging, having manufactured thermal laminators, pouch finishing systems such as the Digicon 3000, and shrink sleeve machines installed globally. The new division formalises this activity into a single platform intended to deliver an end-to-end solution for converters.

At the core of ABG Flex Pack are three initiatives. The first is the introduction of ThermoLam – a compact, modular thermal laminator designed with improved ergonomics, simplified roll handling, and a smaller footprint. The second is an exclusive partnership with Galaxy Packtech, a pouch- and bag-making machinery specialist with more than 1500 installations worldwide. The third, yet to be disclosed, is a further flexible packaging innovation expected later in 2025.

Through the partnership, ABG will distribute and support Galaxy Packtech equipment across Europe (including UK and Ireland), the Americas, Australasia, Japan and Israel.

Galaxy Packtech’s CMO, Gaurav Sharma, said the companies share values and goals as family-run businesses. “Together, we’re able to bring converters a flexible packaging solution that combines Galaxy’s technical expertise with ABG’s market reach and service support,” he said.

ABG global sales director Matt Burton added that the initiative allows converters to source lamination through to pouch production from one supplier.

ABG Flex Pack will feature on Galaxy Packtech’s stand at Labelexpo Europe 2025 (16-19 September, Barcelona), with live pouch-making demonstrations. ABG solutions, including shrink sleeve and embellishment systems, will also be shown at its own stand.
