Wedderburn Australia has become an approved machinery distributor and printer partner for Ravenwood Packaging, expanding the availability of Ravenwood's linerless labelling solutions in the Australian market.
Under the partnership, Wedderburn will distribute Ravenwood's Nobac range of linerless labelling machinery and invest in a Ravenwood Com500 linerless coating system to manufacture linerless labels locally. The companies say this will allow Wedderburn to provide customers with a complete linerless labelling solution, supported by local service and supply.
The companies said the partnership reflects a shared focus on packaging sustainability. Wedderburn supports initiatives including FSC-certified materials, participation in the RafCycle programme, and engagement with industry organisations focused on packaging sustainability and compostable solutions.
Paul Beamish, managing director at Ravenwood Packaging, said Australia is an important market for linerless technology.
“By combining Ravenwood's linerless machinery and coating technology with Wedderburn's established market presence and technical expertise, we're creating a strong platform to support customers looking to improve efficiency, reduce waste and adopt more sustainable labelling practices,” Beamish said.
Philip Wedderburn, executive chairman at Wedderburn, said “Ravenwood has established itself as a global leader in linerless technology and we are proud to become both an approved distributor of its machinery and printer partner for linerless labels.”
Founded in 1896, Wedderburn supplies labels, labelling equipment, weighing systems, packaging equipment and food technologies across Australia and New Zealand.
