Ultra Labels has ordered the first Nilpeter FA-26 in the country, marking a new milestone in the ANZ labels industry  and, says Nilpeter, setting a trend for the broader Asia Pacific region.

The order for the 26" web flexo press is the culmination of a collaboration over several years between Nilpeter and Ultra Labels. Ultra Labels’ CEO, Scott Springett, and production manager, Johnny Marusic, travelled to Denmark for the final demonstration, and to sign the deal.

Nilpeter says the FA-26 is built for value-added short run flexible packaging and labels, all inline. Designed to print with water-based and solvent inks, with UV, LED, and E-beam processes – in any combination, the FA-26 will produce a wide range of applications, including pouches and sachets, wrap-arounds, shrink sleeves, and labels.

Established in 2009, Ultra Labels has become a leading Australian-owned label and flexible packaging manufacturer, with operations in Brisbane, Sydney, and the Barossa Valley. its facilities have the latest printing technologies, and its experienced team delivers top-tier solution,  with what it says are industry-leading turnaround times.

Ultra Labels is committed to environmental sustainability, aligning with Australia’s National Packaging Targets for 2025 — a goal, that Nilpeter says the new FA-26, featuring UV LED-curing technology, is ready to support.

This collaboration represents a major step forward, not only for Nilpeter but also for Maxteq, Nilpeter’s authorised agency in Australia and New Zealand. Both Andrew Maxwell, managing director of Maxteq, and Erik Blankenstein, sales director of Nilpeter Asia Pacific, expressed their excitement about launching this partnership.

Food & Drink Business

A lot of food and beverage brands look strong when they’re small. They have one product, one pack, one clear idea and then they grow. That’s usually when things start to unravel, not all at once, but quickly enough to matter. The Creative Method founder and creative director, Tony Ibbotson, explains why – and growth is not the problem.

Victorian-based Aquafab has completed a $620,000 Series A raise through Birchal, supported by over 300 investors. The company told Food & Drink Business that the funds will support continued national growth and plans in place to enter the US and UK markets this year.

Rumin8 is accelerating its methane reducing feed additive commercialisation progress in New Zealand, garnering $4.4 million (US$3 million) in investment as the company prepares to enter the final trial process.
