At CeMAT, Anas Majad, John Butera, Abdul Rashid and Andrew Saliba tell PKN how SICK delivers intelligent sensor solutions across every step of the logistics chain, ensuring end-to-end speed, accuracy, and visibility.

Watch the innovation update here:

The Pallet Integrity Inspection System (PAIS) is a fully automated, non-contact solution that scans pallets from all angles to detect cracks, missing blocks, protruding nails, and more - even on dirty or wet surfaces. With real-time analysis, easy integration, and detailed reporting, PAIS speeds up your workflow, improves safety, and reduces costly errors - all while delivering precise, 3D visual inspection.

SICK's DWS and RFID solution is designed to boost logistics. First, the VMV system with Visionary-S cameras delivers fast, accurate 3D dimensioning capturing length, width, and height in real time. The Lector Array ensures high-speed, multi(5)-side barcode reading for complete tracking accuracy - even on irregularly placed labels. The Wipotec scale precisely weighs each item in grams or kilograms, integrating seamlessly into the workflow. Finally, the SICK RFID tunnel verifies RFID-tagged items at high speed - enabling hands-free, bulk data capture for ultimate traceability.

With SICK's IdentGate, deigned for automating dock entry, high-speed cameras read shipping labels on the fly, no stopping required and match each pallet against live ERP order data. The system logs time, date, dock door and loading/unloading status-and provides immediate visual confirmation to staff. If there's a mismatch, order error or wrong destination, the gate flags it instantly, preventing incorrect loading.
