The Coca-Cola Company has appointed Nemalin Perumal as senior director of Packaging, with responsibility for leading packaging strategy across the Asia Pacific region.
The company said the role will focus on strengthening packaging leadership and advancing innovation and sustainability initiatives across APAC. Perumal will lead packaging strategy across the region, drive innovation, support sustainability goals, and strengthen packaging capabilities across Coca-Cola’s regional portfolio.
Perumal brings nearly two decades of experience in packaging innovation, sustainability strategy and supply chain transformation in the FMCG sector.
His previous roles include customer service representative/team support officer at AAMI, new technologist, raw materials at Mars, senior packaging scientist at Mondelez International, and group head R&D AMA EM + APAC EM packaging supply lead at Procter & Gamble.
According to the company, his professional experience includes leading packaging development initiatives, driving material innovation, and supporting product and packaging transformation programmes aligned with regulatory and consumer requirements.
In a LinkedIn post announcing the move, Perumal said, "As I begin my next chapter, I’m incredibly excited to join Coca-Cola, another iconic company with a powerful purpose, global impact, and a legacy of refreshing the world and making a difference."
The company said the appointment is intended to strengthen leadership in APAC and support its long-term packaging strategy across diverse markets.
