Orora received the Global Breakthrough Innovation Award for its Helio project at Asahi's first Global Supplier Summit in Singapore, where the beverage company brought together 64 of its strategic partners from around the world.

Helio was showcased as an innovation case study during the summit, with Orora recognising the teams involved in the project, including Innovation and Design, Engineering, and the Helio operations team at Dandenong.

The company was one of six award recipients at the summit's gala dinner.

Accepting the award on behalf of Orora, Adam Johnson, general manager Sales and Marketing at Orora, said, "It is only through the belief of the Asahi team and the tireless dedication of our team members back in Australia and New Zealand that we are able to accept this award for Helio."

"Thanks to Asahi for backing Orora and coming on the Helio journey with us, we are excited about what we can achieve together."

Orora representatives recently returned from Singapore after attending the summit, which the company said provided an opportunity to reflect on its partnership with Asahi.

Orora said the event demonstrated that Asahi recognised it as a trusted strategic partner.

The company said receiving the award alongside global industry peers recognised the innovation and collaboration behind its partnership with Asahi.
