Nestle Professional's brand Nescafe has entered into a three-year partnership with public health promotion charity, R U OK?, coming on board as its official ‘cuppa’ partner.

The collaboration is designed to encourage Australians to check in with their loved ones or colleagues over a cup of Nescafe coffee and use these moments of connection to ask the question, “are you okay?”.

To celebrate the partnership, Nestle Professional has unveiled a limited-edition yellow 1kg tin of Nescafe Blend 43, designed by Lionize, with paper label by Labelmakers, and tin supplied by Visy.

The new tins also feature a QR code that guides Aussies through to R U OK? free resources to help understand when and how to ask are you okay in the workplace, schools and local communities every day of the year.

“Whether it’s in the office kitchen, staff breakroom or facilities site, Nestle Professional has a legacy of bringing Aussie workers together over a cup of Nescafe Blend 43 coffee,” said Kristina Czepl, general manager at Nestle Professional.

“Through our partnership with R U OK?, we want to inspire people to use these moments of connection to simply ask if they are okay, and start a meaningful conversation that could change a life.”

The R U OK? Day 2023 message, ‘I’m here to hear’, highlights the important role that meaningful conversations pay both at home and in the workplace to support the health and wellbeing of people we care about.

According to R U OK? Research, in the past month, a quarter of respondents in full-time work have opened up to a colleague about something that was troubling them.

“We are grateful to welcome Nescafe on board as our official cuppa partner. Taking time to catch up over a coffee is a good time to meaningfully check in with a colleague or loved one,” said Katherine Newton, CEO of R U OK?.

“We know the positive impact an R U OK? Conversation can have when people know and trust each other. This usually means trust has been built over time, they’re familiar with each other’s routine and behaviours, and they likely know what’s going on in each other’s lives.

“That’s why asking the question, are you okay, can make a real impact in the workplace.”

The limited-edition R U OK? x Nescafe Blend 43 1kg tins are available to purchase from wholesale office and foodservice distribution, including Bidfood, NAFDA, Countrywide, PFD, Campbells, Winc and Blackwoods.

The partnership highlights the importance of meaningful conversations to support the health and wellbeing of others.
