This year, Beckhoff Automation celebrates 20 years in Australia, marking an important milestone in the company’s growth and presence in the Asia-Pacific region.
The Australian operation was first established in Melbourne in 2006.
Nick Psahoulias, now managing director and member of the Australian Packaging and Processing Machinery Association (APPMA)’s Board of Directors, was one of the first employees – a true testament to the culture and long-term commitment that has helped shape the company’s success in the local market.
Over the past two decades, Beckhoff has grown from a small local operation into a long-standing partner, supporting manufacturers, machine builders and OEMs across a range of sectors.
Today, the company’s Australian headquarters is located in Mount Waverley, Victoria, supported by sales offices in Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.
Central to the company’s growth over the years has been its commitment to innovation and open, PC-based control.
Technologies such as TwinCAT have helped bridge the gap between traditional PLC control and software, data and IT technologies, enabling increasingly connected and intelligent machines.
EtherCAT has likewise become a key technology for high-performance, real-time industrial communication.
