Submissions for the 2022 Australasian Bioplastics Association (ABA) Scholarship Program close in less than one month (8 April), so interested parties should apply now and not miss out.

The 2022 ABA Scholarship Association, in partnership with the Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP), will enable one eligible candidate the opportunity to undertake a Diploma in Packaging Technology valued at $9000, and a second person the opportunity to undertake a Certificate in Packaging valued at $7000.

DIPLOMA IN PACKAGING TECHNOLOGY

The Diploma in Packaging Technology is a PIABC accredited Level 5 qualification, which is internationally recognised for those wishing to pursue a career in the packaging industry, or for those who are already in the industry and who wish to extend their knowledge and expertise. 

The Diploma prepares students to take responsibility for packaging operations at any level through the supply chain. It is comprehensive, and provides an opportunity to study the principle of packaging, its materials and processes. 

Who am I?

Diploma in Packaging Technology students are from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines, and are from technical, engineering and science, sales and marketing, quality assurance and control, safety, procurement, logistics and operations, industrial design, graphic design and agencies, and/or sustainability and environment.

CERTIFICATE IN PACKAGING

Entries are now open for the annual Melbourne Royal Australian Food Awards. Open to commercial food producers of all sizes, it is one of the largest programs of its kind. 

Victorian brewery, Bodriggy Brewing Co, is the first brewery in the state to achieve carbon-neutral certification and only the second in Australia to do so. The independent Abbotsford-based brewery achieved certification under the federal government’s Climate Active program.

According to Rabobank data, Australian consumers are facing higher chocolate prices heading into Easter, with retail chocolate prices up 8.8 per cent on the previous year as global cocoa prices soar.
