The Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) is heading to WA to support the state’s Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) with a planned presentation at the Turning the Dial conference.

Facilitated by the DPIRD, the two-day Turning the Dial conference, held on 27-28 February, will be the first event of its kind in WA and will be tailored towards food and beverage manufacturers.

The two-day event will focus on current issues facing the sector including management of food waste, packaging and the broader circular economy agenda, and advancing WA business sustainability credentials.

The AIP is encouraging all WA food and beverage manufacturers and invested industry stakeholders to attend the important industry event.

AIP executive director Nerida Kelton will be presenting at the two-day event, along with AIP education coordinator Ralph Moyle, to cover the role that packaging plays in minimising food waste and sustainable packaging design principles, including best practice examples of award-winning packaging innovations.

In addition to the presentation, AIP will also be conducting workshops during both afternoons.

The event aims to provide attendees with practical information on global best practice to guide discussions, and solutions for immediate application.

Acting as the conduit for expert intelligence and analysis, Turning the Dial will also provide industry capacity building and networking opportunities, and will offer an introduction to market innovators and R&D advances.
