Informa Markets will become the Platinum Plus Partner of the Australasian Institute of Packaging (AIP), solidifying the long-standing relationship between the two organisations and enabling growth of the AIP educational offerings within the food, beverage, packaging and HoReCa (Hotel, Restaurant, and Café/Catering) shows in the Asian region.

For almost 14 years the AIP have provided the largest educational offerings of any peak professional body for packaging education and training in the Informa Market portfolio of ProPak Shows across Southeast Asia.

Over the past decade, the AIP and Informa have continued to strengthen the ProPak shows’ packaging educational offerings for the visitors. Now, each show offers an expansive offering including an annual packaging forum, workshops and training courses.

Nerida Kelton, executive director of the AIP, said the AIP has proudly become the leading educational partner for the flagship show ProPak Asia in Thailand and support all of the ProPak shows in the Asian region.

The ProPak portfolio now includes Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Hanoi, China, Middle East & Africa and India.

“Now it is time to expand our educational support to even more Informa shows withing the HoReCa space, starting with supporting the 2027 Food & Hospitality Asia (FHA) that will be held on the 20-23 April 2027 in Singapore,” said Kelton.

“Entering its 49th year, FHA has been cemented as the premier authority for the food and hospitality industries in Asia. Occupying all 10 halls of the Singapore Expo centre, FHA 2027 will showcase the best in food & beverage, hotel, restaurant, café/catering, retail, and ProWine Singapore.”

FHA 2027 is set to host over 2750 exhibitors and welcome 60,000 attendees from more than 100 countries and regions, reaffirming its status as the must-attend event for the global food and hospitality community.

“The AIP looks forward to working with the team at FHA and helping to guide their packaging-related educational offerings for 2027,” Kelton said.

“We also encourage AIP Members and industry colleagues to visit or exhibit at the show with the ever-expanding Australasian Delegation from Australia and New Zealand.”

According to Ian Roberts, senior vice-president – Asia at Informa Markets, the partnership with the AIP marks a significant milestone for Informa Markets as the organiser of the ProPak Series and FHA.

“By combining AIP’s deep technical expertise in packaging education and training with our global platforms for trade, innovation, and growth, we are unlocking unparalleled opportunities to advance the packaging, as well as food and beverage industries in the region,” he said.

“This collaboration will deliver cutting-edge insights, foster sustainable solutions, and set new benchmarks for excellence, empowering professionals to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving market.

“Together, Informa Markets and the AIP are not only shaping the future of these critical sectors, but also driving meaningful progress, innovation and business success.”
